No repayment required. Reliable support for your efforts. JEES operates the following scholarship programs called “JEES scholarship” for students enrolled as regular students at universities, graduate schools, or equivalent institutions. These programs are funded by donations from companies and individuals, as well as transfers from JEES other projects.

Current scholarships
Students' request
For scholarship applications to the Association, recommendations from your university are required. If you would like to apply or have questions, please contact the scholarship office of your university. Direct applications and inquiries to the Association are not accepted.
1. International-student
This scholarship is available to privately funded international students enrolled as full-time students at universities, graduate schools, etc.
2. Studies-education
This scholarship is aimed at outstanding students who have passed the Japanese Language Proficiency Test N1 and N2 levels administered by the Association, and those who have passed the Japanese Language Teaching Competency Test and are aiming to become Japanese language instructors.
3. UNESCO
This scholarship is for Japanese regular graduate students participating in the UNESCO Traineeship Program organized by MEXT.
