This scholarship supports both Japanese students who will study abroad and students from overseas who will study in Japan in the field of art history at the graduate student level. Through this support, we hope scholarship recipients will become internationally recognized experts and researchers in the future, and that they will promote academic exchanges between universities in Japan and overseas.

For those wishing to apply for the outbound program

Students cannot apply directly.
A recommendation from your home university in Japan is required, so please contact your university’s scholarship office.
Any questions regarding this scholarship should also be addressed through your home university in Japan.

For those wishing to apply for the inbound program

A recommendation from a Japanese university is required. Direct applications from students are not accepted.
Please contact your university or academic advisor and obtain admission approval before applying.

【For International Office Staff at Host Universities in Japan】

This scholarship is offered through an open application process.
Please carefully review the eligibility requirements and other conditions before submitting your recommendation.

Application documents must be compiled by each university, checked to ensure there are no deficiencies, and submitted collectively by the university staff member. Applications submitted directly by students will not be accepted.
