This insurance is available to members of “Gakken-sai” scheme participating in school-approved study abroad programs. Coverage includes medical expenses for injuries or illnesses sustained during study abroad, rescue costs, damage to personal belongings, and losses due to flight delays. Premiums benefit from discounts utilizing the scale advantages of “Gakken-sai”.

The following are examples of incidents covered by the warranty:

• 
  In the event of injury or illness

  In the event of injury or illness occurring during overseas study requiring treatment, hospitalization, or should family members need to run to the rescue.

• 
  Damage to personal belongings

  If personal belongings are stolen and not recovered, or if items are damaged while studying abroad.

• 
  When you have caused injury or harm to another person

  In the event of causing injury to another person, flooding a hotel room, or damaging another person’s property.

• 
  Troubles when using aircraft

  In the cases where checked baggage fails to arrive at the airport, or where there is a significant delay to your scheduled flight resulting in unexpected expenses.
